Default Re: How to program your own key. SAVE $$$

Hi Everyone,
I have a question about keys. My house was burglarized last month and among the items stolen from my dresser was my spare key. I took the car into the dealer and they ordered a replacement key (homeowner's insurance paid for it, thank goodness). They did have a shoe box size computer which they used to change the code so that the stolen key could not be used. Ever since though, I've had an intermittent problem with the door locks not responding to the key fob. Sometimes I open the key all the way and then it works, but other times it will not. Any ideas on what the problem might be? Would going through the programing steps potentially help with this issue? I haven't tried it because I do not want to screw up and not have the key fob function at all. Any information/insight/suggestions about the problem that you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
