I spent $850 and purchase a pin compatible Sony CDX-M9900 radio and
guess what? The Sony radio drives all the speakers! The Sony radio has
a readable display in daylight! The Sony Radio supports a rear view
camera! (just ground the parking brake wire so that you can have
video on all the time). Why on earth did Chrysler install such a
stupid factory radio? My sound system with my CrossFire built-in
amplifier is outstanding using the replacement Sony CDX-M9900
radio. Note: although everything was included in the box to replace
the factory radio including a pin compatible adaptor, I had to buy one
more item: a BMW antenna adaptor cable to connect the antenna wire
to the radio. The sound system BOOMS!!!!
