Re: So I'm strongly considering buying one
Joule,
I would love to see you in a Crossfire but as your only vehicle, it would be quite a compromise. Especially if you have "stuff." I always laugh at comments about the cup holder. There isn't room for your latte and you'll spill it anyway.
Mazda RX8 or the Audi TT both have some room inside. The Crossfire doesn't have room for much more than your EGO which will be well satisfied.
I am with you on the commitment, I bought mine for life. But I have two sedans, a caravan and a one ton truck for times when I have to haul my stuff. I'll trade or sell them off with no regrets.
However, my butt, and my ego, spend most of the time in the Crossfire.
If it fits your lifestyle, get a Crossfire. But it would be a shame to have to give it up because you needed a car to haul groceries.
My logic on the high cost of ownership is simple. if you wish you were driving something else, any car payment is a pain. If you need to pay for repairs to something you don't love, it is a total waste of money.
Short version, "follow your heart"
Life is short. ENJOY
