The W/S is for winter or standard driving modes. Only change them when you are stopped and in park. W is good for wet or slick conditions. It will start the car off in second gear so it will not lose traction. S is good for all other driving, summer dry conditions etc..
The + and - is there to let you know if you will be shifting up or down when using the manual shift feature of the Autostik transmission that is in all automatic Crossfires.
