They put in an AC-DELCO PF2247G cellulose oil filter for $17.77.
I bought the real fleece filter for $18 from an MB parts site.
My question is, can I replace the oil filter without draining the oil?
Looks like the filter is at about the highest point on the engine, so I think so, but would like some input before I make a mess of my driveway.
I have a top-sider just in case.

Slightly loosen the filter cap enough to break the suction (clear the o-ring) and wait 5 minutes to let ALL the oil drain out of the cap volume.
