Default Re: Power for the Crossfire

I've been lurking here for what seems like a seriously long time!

This forum has the most intelligent, grown-up people I've yet to see (On a car forum)

*And yes, I'm still looking for my Crossfire (NB Canada isn't exactly full of them)

Anyways... Guys, I'm a double business/communications major, and we talk about the ethics, and morality of this situation all the time...

We talk about how Apple and Microsoft actually hire independent bloggers, to promote their products, and sell their products online...
We've had a few presentations by some of these guys, and apparently its one of the most demanded 'work from home' jobs out there...

The internet is a source of new media, and these guys are taking advantage of it..

Go creep around Civic forums, RX-8 forums (god forbid), 350Z forums... Search electric superchargers...
You'll see a guy just like our friend Jeff, promoting a product without putting his name behind it (because it would ultimately be illegal)
And the product themselves, they do absolutely nothing... If you guys want to throw away money, I'll write my mailing address! (again, check around on other car forums)

I don't typically post here... But when I see people trying to take advantage of an audience who might not be internet savvy... It just ticks me off...

And Jeff, I want to appologize before I even clikc 'Submit Reply' in the case that your a consumer...
But at the same time, I want to tell you to save your money, and either go forced induction, or get an SRT-6...
And yeah, it costs a lot...
But you've got to pay to play..

One final thought...
I remember my father telling me stories of the early 70's, when they switched from black and white to colour TV's....
And you could buy a cheap kit to 'colour your television'...
hundreds of thousonds of people bought it..
What did they receive?
..
Paint and a small paint brush...

If it seems to good to be true...
Lock the thread...

I love Crossfires
