Hot damn SRT is a mean motor-scooter
Thats a reference to an old song and what a song this thing can sing, here is the data to back up the stories.
My SRT has an exhaust modification that cuts lots of weight 20#+ and removes gobs of back pressure. The intake has been gasket matched and a set of LET 1/8" phenolic spacers, and topped off with a needswings intake. I have yet to measure the restriction of the K&N filter, more on that later.
Just got back from the dyno and have the sheets to show the results. Other than a phantom grip there are NO other mods to the car and its still on factory plugs. I will install the 181 pully and H/E soon to get a comparison. SO HERE GOES: I got over 320 HP at the rear wheels on a mustang dyno that Iam told is one of the more conservative ones out there, I was told 7% low readings. I DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO THAT NOR DO I CLAIM THAT AS I WAS SHOCKED BY THE NUMBERS SO THE SHEETS ARE INCLUDED IN THE ATTACHED PHOTOS. There are interesting numbers for the 0-60 and the 60 foot times ( 1.90s ) plus the 1/8th to review.
From a good roll I can break loose the rear tires and shifting into second the rears get pulled loose also. Lots of torque here. My readings of the G meter is from a strip to see what I could do on street tires, you can see the temperature. The photo is with the key on but parked in the garage, be safe and sane out there please.
Hope this is informative and of use to the general forum. Ill get another run on the same dyno in a couple of months when the Mercedes club has another go at it. Till then enjoy, Woody
Whoopse I also got them to monitor the boost as shown in the second chart(s) and the tire shot is whats pushing this toy. Woody
