Default Greetings! Looking to join the ranks

Howdy, everyone!

I've driven sports and performance cars since I first got my license. Other than cars purchased primarily for my wife, I've never owned an auto trans vehicle. But....my legs are finally getting old enough (I'm 53) to not appreciate pushing a clutch through hours of rush hour traffic (my commute is murder).

My current main driver is a Honda S2000. A wonderfully focused and precise driver's car, but even though I consider myself a pretty hard core enthusiast, I am going to throw in the towel and get something with a bit more in the way of creature comforts, while still having enough perfomance to be interesting.

I have considered a few vehicles, but it seems that the SRT6 is the combination I'm after. I wish they still made them! I'm curruntly perusing 4 in my area; 3 roadsters and a coupe. I really want a roadster but the coupe is very low mileage and a great deal on top of that.

I will report in with any progress and study up on the forums in the meantime. I already have been lurking for a couple of weeks already while making up my mind.

My current vehicles:

The Torqueless Wonder: 2002 Honda S2000; stock other than the body kit (bought it that way) and a Borla catback to replace the astoundingly loud and nasty sounding Tanabe Racing Medallion exhaust that also was on it when I bought it with only 7K miles on the odometer. It sounded like a Civic from Hell.

The MulletMobile: (Semi-retired) 1997 30th Anniversary Z28; highly modified suspension, supercharged (462 Hp, 420 Tq on DynoJet). I don't intend to ever part with this one and have kept all of the pieces to return it to showroom stock condition. I bought it new on my son's 5th Birthday and my intention is to give it to him on his 25th (2017)...IF I think he has grown up enough not to kill himself in it.
