Prayers for your wife's successful chemo and cancer-free recovery.
My 57 yr old mother spent the last year and a half under chemo, surgery, CAT scans, PET scans, the whole bit. Had her stomach mostly removed, some lymph nodes removed, and neo-pouch/intestinal bypass to enable her to eat/digest food. The first year was hardest for my father who was the primary caregiver. Best help for my mother was being surrounded by the support of her friends. Cancer treatment changed her a lot physically and was difficult emotionally, but she got good treatment at Vanderbilt. Now she is doing pretty well, cancer free (thank God), and does about 90% of the things she used to before surgery.
I've heard good things about Mayo in Rochester, also I think it's awesome that you are taking good care of your wife. I really respect my dad for the way that he took care of his wife, I respect you too for doing the same!!
