I was curious and checked into the independant testing. All I found was dealers pushing Amsoil and claimed results. I could not find an independant lab testing without allegiance. The testing results displayed did not use 0-40 Mobil. Amsoil does not make a European car oil in 0-40...apples and oranges. Plus the $2.25 premium in cost. I'll use Mobil 1 as does Mercedes Benz on original fill. A Wix nascar filter does not match to Mann/Hengst/Mahl fleece standards. However after all this I believe that either oil will insure a long engine life when properly done..
