You are correct........I drove through a massive downpour, the kind that made the expressway traffic slow down to 30, not a drop of water in the intake.
IMO.....the chances of getting water in the intake is somewhere between zero and none. You'd have to do something really stupid.......like powerwash the filter with the nozzle 1 inch away from the filter while the engine was at full throttle.
