One thing I noticed is a rattle noise when the car is running, sitting idle in nuetral, clutch out. Press the clutch in, noise goes away. I did a search here on the forum for "clutch noise" and found a thread that stated it may be the "throw out bearing" but not to worry, should cause no harm?? I'm hoping this the case.... Sometimes I get reading the horror stories some fellow XF owners are having, but I guess that happens with all makes and models!!Other than that, I'm loving the car so far.
I previously owned a first-year 350Z that made this same noise. It also went away when the clutch was depressed. I took it back to the dealer several times and they always advised me nothing was wrong. I ended up having the transmission replaced (not related to the noise) and the car continued to make the noise afterwards. It continued making the noise up until the time it was wrecked.
