Default Re: Have a new SRT-6 Coupe in my garage...

I paid just over $24K out the door for mine with under 200 miles on it and had an 8/88k warrantee included in the price. After seeing what others have paid, I wondered if I hadn't paid too much.

Consider that the dealership paid around 18K but less then 20K at auction for the car. Work up from what they paid not down from what they want, I think that close to 22K out the door with a long term warrantee would be fair. They are likely trying to sell the car like its new, if so request the lowest new car interest rate available, $500 SRT-6 luggage set and track experience be included in the sale.

When they bulk on the new car items, push the fact that it is a 3 year old used car with only 2 years left on the warrantee and that the car sat in open lot storage for 2 years. Force a free long term warrantee, SRT models do not come with a life time powertrain coverage. Lastly, check the paint and headlights close. Most of the lot cars have poor paint, hazing and scratches if they have buffed it then they added buffer scratch swirls that will get worse with time and the hazing will show up later. If the headlights are not perfect have them replace immediately under warrantee.

If you get a fair deal you will love the car. Good luck!
