Many of them were 2-3 years old, with 0 miles on them.

I'm not sure what the rationale is for the higher prices in the Gulf region for Xfires . . . but I don't think it is because Chrysler doesn't want them here. They actually make Gulf spec Xfires (I was lucky to find one with U.S. specs in case I decide to bring it back to the U.S. with me). I haven't been to the Chrysler dealer here yet, but the dealer who sold me my 2004 coupe (300 miles on it) said that the price of a new one from the dealer was 145,000 dirhams or about $39,000.

The Gulf spec Xfires have Arabic script on the side view mirror and a very annoying dinging warning sound that starts when you hit 120 kilometers per hour (the speed limit). I'm not sure about the headlights. If I see a Gulf spec up close and personal, I'll let you know if they have that feature.
I think the higher prices there is because its considered an American Import!?!?

also do u have any pics of the Arabic script?
thanks
