All I want to say is - all things in their place.

But this is not the place for that type of behavior. Save it for the bowling alley, or the bar, or the garage when a bunch of guys are customizing their cars......

If you disagree with the opinion of another, say so, and say why. But does it always have to degrade into name calling? And I really don't care what happens on other forums, this is our Crossfire forum, and I would like it to be the BEST one on the internet.

I know that there are many people that lurk on this forum, afraid to say anything, for fear of being slammed. That is no way to have a free expression of ideas passed around. I have received several PM's saying that exactly.

And there is a very large difference between humor and vulgarity!

Lets just have some common courtesy towards each other.

Is that really too much to ask?

I hope not.

i've made pretty much the same observation/request here and been told, i really don't remember by who, that it's just the nature of the internet to behave badly. well, that's just not true. each board has it's own community personality and it's not really a matter of the moderator creating or enforcing rules. it's about the members showing and expecting respect.
