I don't think that such a key exists, although I have also seen references to a flat key on the forum. If it does I, want the part number also. Using the search, I have found information from a guy that took the key and transponder out of a fob, and then glued the transponder to the key. So, he made his own 'flat' key, although it isn't really flat. Here's a link to the pic:

I checked with a Mercedes dealer once and they said a flat key is available for the SLK. So, I don't see why one couldn't be made for a Crossfire. However, you need the key laser cut and transponder (not transmitter) programmed for the VIN. That's the problem. The Mercedes guy said he might be able to get a flat key to open the door, but without transponder??? So, you couldn't start the car. But, he really didn’t know. My Chrysler dealer just said it can’t be done.
