flathead,
Good luck I still have my 96 Supercharged Corvette (C4), it was either a C6 or the Crossfire. I now have the Corvette where I like it so I didn't want to then turn around and sell it, 522 horses with coilovers all the way around and dropped 2 inches.

Yes it will leave your eye teeth hanging mid air.
I think the comment about the "guy's moving down a notch" is perhaps more for the Ferrari crowd. Never the less, we bought our Crossfire for the same reason many above have stated, almost to the point of it's uncomfortable with the "head turns and stares". It is a great car to switch off too.
Yes my Corvette will do 0-60 in 4.2 but if I don't watch it, there 's a ticket on the other end. As someone stated the reality is normal street driving 2 seconds on legal roads is not a tremendous difference. I love the tremendous low end torque of the Corvette. But I also love the curb appeal and the driving fun of the Crossfire as well...
I'll probably see you in the Corvette forum as well... I'm usually helping on C4 side the good luck!
