Default Re: Woodward Dream Cruise - August 16, 2008 - Detroit, MI

Update: reservations for Friday night have been made at Taveren on 13 (same as last year) and for Saturday night at Moose Preserve (same as last year). I think it was by default that we agreed on these places. As usual any suggestions for changes or ideas are welcomed. I'd like Saturday's dinner to be around 7pm but they don't take reservations after 5:30 at this time. I asked for an exception-will know next week.
-->We do not have a photographer for this event. Last year it was a do it your self opperation. We lucked out,
a truck and ladder for the wide angle shoots, the photos were very good. This did mean one of the members was not in the photos. Any ideas?? There are professionals to hire, but they will be costly. I think there are a couple of guys who work like Killboy/US129/Zeefoto. If a member wants to contact one to see if they will commit to a group photo- have at it. We don't know at this time were it would be taken, the hotel would be the least crazy, but not every member will be going there (I'd think) and Saturday is the photographers big day on WW. Last year the lot we used was perfect for it, but the 13 and WW lot will not work for a group photo in any way. Does any one remeber if the back of Moose Preserve's lot would lend it's self to a group car/member photo? Does anyone have room for a extension ladder in their car? If a member wants to step forward to shoot the photos what kind of help would you need?
-->At this time the schedule for the WWDC consists of Friday and Saturday night dinner reservations, a block of time on Saturday for members to get together as best as we can (remember this is a 1 million+ person weekend, just driving from A to B is an event in it's self) and the location of breakfast on Saturday and Sunday were many members may choose to eat. It is pretty "fast and loose" since you can drive north on WW (on Saturday) for 1.5 hours for a total miles traveled of 1.
One thing that will help you greatly is to give Valk your name, cell number, car description and city/st/country. Last year Ryan got this info, it was a great help to everyone. We still have last years list to work from. Also Steve/Apkno and I made up a Rode Fact Sheet of sorts to help you get around see link below.
