In front of the radiator area is best for cooler air but it does not flow as much using the stock size hole so there is a trade off with either set up. I believe the free flowing intake will make more power rather than being choked out through a very small cut out to go in front of the radiator. There are several opinions on ths topic so it all depends on your preference is etc. Needswings has a nice set up if you want to go through the front.
