I would agree that if you lifted the car completely off the ground it would be as bad as not using jacks at all. In
CrossfireRoadster case where he has the wheels off to paint the calipers he won't have an issue, but if you are storing the car for extended periods of time like
RPM,
crossfirefun,
crossfirefrank, and myself you do need to unload the suspension or it will sag over time. What I do for storage is put rubber mats under the wheels and then jack the car up just to the point where the suspension is sitting at about half travel or in a neutral position.
