I sent an email to Karmann and asked if they could tell me how many 2005 SSB limited roadsters were built with the 5 speed automatic. I thought that the best part of the response was something that I never expected - they knew that I lived in the same town as the home of the Corvette.

Too bad they can't provide more detailed info on what was built.

I don't know what the "MY" means.

our records show 1,456 MY 2005 Crossfire Roadster vehicles in that color built for the U.S. market.
No breakdown on engines and transmissions available, though.
Hope this answers your question at least partly.

Quite daring anyway, driving a Crossfire Roadster in a place that boasts to be home to the world's only Corvette plant ..... ;-)
