Thanks Eric and Woody for your suggestions! I didn't think it was a low fluid problem, because I had no oil or fluid drips on my shop floor over the winter storage. However, I have been very careful about not bumping the shifter, and surprise no more malfunction. Instead what we have here is operator error!
