Hey Justin, have you tried to run the filter behind the front grill in order to get cooler air? Honestly, I set mine up using your set up. The only thing I notice was how hot the temp was under the hood. Not that the the piping was the cause, it was hot with the regular OEM set up. I was going to run the piping out in front the grill to see if it made a difference. Just curious if you tried it before I start hacking and cutting plastic and metal.
