Default Re: SoCal Crossfires - April 26, 2008 Cars & Coffee, Coastal Cruise

I've got a couple of thoughts on the north bound trip:

First off, palexfire, we aren't going THAT FAR NORTH!!!

Plan A: We'll be leaving C & C at 9:00AM and head to the PCH in Laguna Beach then turn north, we would be in the Seal Beach/Long Beach area by 10:30 or so which is too early for lunch. If we they jumped on the 405 north we'd get to Marina Del Rey around 11:30 and could grab lunch somewhere in or near the marina (eatery suggestions are welcome).

Plan B: If we skip Laguna and PCH north from there and just get right on the 405 from C & C we would get to MDR around 10:00 or so, and into Malibu closer to lunchtime (again, eatery suggestions welcome at this point). After lunch we could then head up PCH as far as Point Dume or beyond, or even cut off one of the canyon roads that will take us to Mulholland and then head over to the 110 and head for home. Or whatever. Suggestions for nice roads in this area, and I know there are plenty, are also welcome.

I would suggest Plan B but I don't have any suggestions for where to eat, and I know there are plenty of great roads up that way as well, but it's been a loooong time since I've been up there. I'd rather not totally wing it, but I'd not completely averse to just seeing where the road takes us.

Discuss.
