No one has spilled tea in mine, either, so you probably don't have a real problem (although I certainly understand your negative reaction to that careless mistake in your car). 
It was maybe 1 or 2 ounces that was spilled so it should be fine but it was enough to really **** me off lol. Just the fact it was in the car set me off.
