Re: My SRT-6 on Speed TV tonight...
Saturday night I TIVO'd "SuperCars Exposed". I'd caught the show before and was a little disappointed in it so I wasn't all that excited to watch it again. Tanner Faust is an incredible rally driver, but I thought he kind of made a fool of himself on the other episode I saw, and he sort of did on this one, but then I've got to give him credit for showing his screw-ups and not just making him look like a hero. Hard to understand how someone who is arguably one of the top rally drivers in the world can screw up so much and one can only imagine the kind of grief he gets from his friends who watch the show.
But... Talk about exciting to see a Crossfire, then watching the show to see it again and again I was impressed that the producers (or whomever) thought so highly of it to give it ao much air time on a show about "SuperCars". I've always felt that the SLK32 AMG and the SRT-6 really were SuperCars but they never really get the respect they deserve. I've never driven an SRT-6 at speed but I have done so in an SLK32 AMG and it is quite the experience in my humble opinion.
I think 152mph is absolutely awesome and it would be interesting to see what the thing would do without the limiter. I am so very envious! I've taken a couple of motorcycle teams to Bonneville and once the LSR bug bites one it is impossible to get it out of your system. I only wish I lived closer to the Texas Mile, or to Maxton NC as I'd be there every chance.
H.K., you are indeed "the man". Please do keep us in the loop if you make any more runs.
