Typically.....there's 2 types of radio's for the Crossfire.

There's group one, who never have a problem with the radio at all.

Then there's group 2, who suffer a array of maladies. From "clicking" cd players (cd player just clicks loudly at you when you put in a disc), to cd players that skip if you run over a worm, to cd players that take in the disc but still think there's nothing there. Usually if your cd player sucks, you probably also have the preset button number 8 that really needs to be pushed hard too.

If you're still under warranty, take it in and they'll replace the radio.
