). What the CCCP and US tanks lacked in technology, armament, and protection, was made up with sheer numbers and reliability.
The German tanks were hugely out numbered later in the war and when a German tank broke down it tended to stay down.
Sort of reminds me of the modern U.S. military. We'll be alright in a short engagement, but I think we could end up in the same boat as the Germans in any type of large scale protracted war. I'm sure China could whip up a modern version of the T-34 in huge numbers just as we did in WWII.
