As most things cars are very individualistic and fairly subjective (and I mean if you consider more then 0-60, top end speed, etc...).

Best of luck with your veter. I myself have personally owned a vette and have many friends that still do. I like them for WHAT they are, a muscle-car/mini-me super sports car. I would far rather be caught in a vette then a (modern) firebird/camaro!

I'm also amazed at how many people here consider the XF to be an awesome "performance" car. Don't get me wrong the crossfire has some nice performance but thats not its strong point. It has great grip with nice performance, good looks and low price-point. Definitely lots of bang-for-the-buck.

But I never once (even after driving my sisters for a weekend prior to my purchase) thought to buy the crossfire for its "performance". Its a quick little car thats alot of fun to drive. Only having my car for less then a month I have run into several occasions where I would have liked to have an extra 40-50hp/torque but no biggie.

As to the little P**** comment I've heard that before (vette, porsche and BMW) and just two weeks ago after a birthday brunch for a friends parents one member in the party (not knowing it was my car) pointed to my beautiful XF and motioned to the whole group with her two fingers in close proximity "kinda guy that drives that type of car must have a small P****!" I turned around and looked at my XF and said smiling "Naw...must be really tiny by now!".

Thanks , Finally a voice of reason on this forum. I agree that the xfire is a great little car, I enjoyed the heck out of it. But is not even close to the ultimate performance car that some tout it to be. Don't get me wrong I am not slamming the car. It is a lot of bang for the buck no doubt, considering the new VW phaeton(SP) is around 40 grand. Personally I love performance cars and have owned more than my share. The Xfire is a great entry level sports car and if I had the room one would still be in my small and humble collection.

To all you guys with Xfires I know what a blast your having with the car. the most fun car out there for 30 grand. Enjoy , and keep those loud Honda guys in your rear view mirror. 8)
