As far as the upper plastic rivet on the plastic OEM air duct (passenger side)
I found by reaching behind with a center punch and lining it up with the back of that plastic rivet just one punch with a hammer will pop that sucker right out with no problem.
Then just a little twisting etc the housing will come out.
once the car warmed up the little bit of soap dries right up. i will wash it off and dry it and try again but i think the elbow was made a little small. I checked the elbow this morning and it had slid completely off overnight.

as for the plastic rivet removal, I did the same thing. Just used my hand to hit the back of a screwdriver instead of a hammer and it worked fine lol.
