Ok... so the width effects the circumferance of the tyre at speed, kind of makes sense, based on centrifugal force on the tyre. Maybe thats why the tyre guy was suggesing 275 30 19's. I thought he just forgot the profile of the current tyre is 35 for a second. The only affect I could think of would be to the speedo as it would doing more revolutions.

The difference would be +2.1 klms. Not a great deal in the scheme of things.
