I am leaning towards a design where you cann add the ice directly to the water and just have a check valve to allow the expanding gas in the case of dry ice.
This is just a personal project.
Here is a setup I made for my old car a few years back, I used ice/water in the tank when at the dragstrip, ran a mix of antifreeze and water the rest of the time. I mounted it in the stock battery location and the car was powered by a small Oddessy PCMJT680t battery(hidden under engine cover next to ice box. I also added a fan to the heat exchanger that ran any time the ignition was on. This resulted in drastically reduced IAT's.
