I really want to keep my stock tips though and I know it can be done. Any thoughts on the process though? I would install the exhaust myself but welding is beyond my expertise - so do I have the tips swapped out with both exhausts off the car or after the Magnaflow is on the car?
You're right.......it sounds great from the drivers seat of a roadster. It's a little loud when you first put it on, but it really does mellow out with a few hard runs on it.

You definitely have to swap the tips before you install it, there's so little room to do anything afterward that welding would be next to impossible. You'll find this out when you try to take the old muffler off those damn rubber hangers just above it. I was like you.......I really like the stock tips....but once I had the oval ones installed I thought they looked great. They are large enough that they really fill out the opening in the bumper. I suggest you trial fit it and have someone hold them in place so you can look at it before you cut the tips off.

MI1XFIRE.......you damn copycat........how am I EVER going to get the edge on you!!
