I'm not sure I'd call something that color a sports car either.

I have to agree but for a different reason, I never refer to mine as a sports car simply because most of the ignorant masses think mustang or the like when they hear sports car, and though I dont have anything against mustangs, they are what they are, I definately do not want my car associated with one in anyone's mind. Typically I say I drive a chrysler crossfire and when asked what the hell that is(really annoying) I say it's a little european 2 seater coupe(pronounced coopay to sound as pretentious as possible

) What amazes me is that sometimes the same genius who didnt have any idea what it was will say "european, I thought it was a chrysler" to which I reply yes chrysler laid claim to it but it was designed by an englishman, most of the components are from mercedes, and it's built in germany. Now get back in your corolla and go away.
