in a 19/20 you can keep the exact same rolling diameter with a lower profile tire. Personally i like the rubber band look. But you have to be careful of bumps and pot holes as they will seriously damage your rim.

Rather then lowering the xfire i would stay with the same size sidewall on a tire on a +1 rim setup.

You could easily put one of the new 20" tires that are meant for the honda market up front as well. Wich is my new plan. I wanted to go with a 20/21 combo on it. But the company that is forging my rims does not make a 21" hoop. I am worried that a 22 on the back of the xfire may look like a RAT FINK car. Just need it to pop wheelies. We shall see.

But for sure, for a daily driven mildly abused sports car. A 19/20 would be fine. Keep the same rolling diameter on the tires. no rubbing issues, and the suspension geometry stays the same. Keep the same side wall height and it will close the gap from the tire to fneder, but you may rub a little.

Rubbin is racin
