Actually, it was light blue. They didn't come in SSB. I'm not sure how it ended up pink in the picture. Back to photo shop.
As for the tranny, I'm surprised you asked. I'm a stick guy from the get go. And everything on that car was "manual." Two cylinder, low compression N/A* power with very, Very, VERY stiff suspension. It did have anti lock brakes and very little under steer. Handled like it was on rails!
And OH YES, to the personal question. I was supposed to be a girl. Franc is short for Francis which was supposed to be Frances. Now you and the whole world knows my little secret. Remember the Johny Cash song, "a boy named Sue" That was my childhood.
