Spensley, was that really necessary? I mean I have a sence of humor as good as the next guy, but Bryce specifically said that he didn't want a "tuners" style spoiler. He said something like what is available on the BMW Z4 coupe, he even posted a thread with a photo.
Why is it everytime somebody wants to try something different with their "own" Crossfire, another forum member feels it's their sworn duty to poke fun at it, and shoot em down. A simple "It's not for me", would surfice.
I know some people on this forum feel that the Crossfire is a rolling work of "Art" and shouldn't be tampered with in any way, shape, or form. And that's OK, it's their opinion and they're entitled to it. But some others here like to think outside of the box, and to them the Crossfire is a blank canvas (albeit a very nice blank canvas) from which ideas and modifications can flourish.
If I would have announced right from the beginning in the spring of 2005 that I had plans of installing a hood scoop on my Crossfire from a 1970 car, Most if not everybody on the forum would have probably branded me a heretic. So I just went ahead and did it with the hope it would turn out looking good, atleast to me. As it turned out, it came out even better than I had hoped and I've never regreted making the modification. Sure, some people didn't like it (and probably still don't) others said it was OK, and others have told me they love it.
My point is have an open mind when ever somebody wants to try something different. You never know, you may be surprised by the end result. I've heard from lots of forum members who told me they really weren't that wild about my hood until they got a chance to see it at a couple of GTG's I've attended, and after seeing it in person they really liked it.
I'll get off my soap box now.
FP, the place that did my hood built a custom fabricated spoiler for a good friends 69 Cuda fastback. It looked great. I'm sure they could design one for the Crossfire.
