Rebadged Vega body with a torquey odd fire V-6. 231 Ci put out 115 HP through a Muncie 4 spd, but it was all heart. It was perfectly balanced and the average vette at the time couldn't hold me on a twisty road. For 200,000 miles, it never let me down. It held it's head up against faster cars, with bigger engines and usually over confident drivers. And when the rust started up the B pillar, signaling terminal cancer, I cried. It was my version of "Herbie."

My fantasy car is a Lotus Esprit '87,'88, or '89 before Ford decided it needed a big power plant to be a "real" sports car.
