I worked for enterprise for 8 years mostly in a nonautomotive division. Still got the discounts and could pick out what I wanted on returns. The lowest cost vehicles had the highest milage on the returns or had obvious signs of abuse.
I always checked them out in person and sometimes paid to have stuff done like brakes and tires. Oil Changes and trans fluids.
I bought these regularlay and found no more issues than cars I bought elsewhere. It's really about checking them out and buying from someone who plans to be open again tomorrow.
Xfires are built to protect themselves. It is hard to over rev the engine and harder still to stress the chassis or suspensions. Get a deal and go for it.
