If you park the car nose-in ~6' away from a flat surface, the Crossfire projectors have a cut-off (a horizontal line, no light above, full light below) so the light beam doesn't blind oncoming drivers.

This is what it SHOULD look lik, HID or not.
Did it look like this with the stock setup?
P.S. You'll have to crank the adjusters back to where they were when you're done.
