Having owned a GTO and seen MANY at the track I can tell you I have NEVER seen one run a high 12 stock. I have seen MANY run low 14's and high 13's with a 97-102 trap. Those cars are expensive to mod and HEAVY. They do not respond very well to mods. My Ls1 GTO ran a best of
13.6@99 with headers/exhaust and tune. Not very good numbers in my opinion.
That's how it is out here in vegas as well. Stock GTO's are runnin low 14's all night long and only in the dead of winter can they manage to break in to the HIGH 13's. I know a guy that has a 6.0 goat with intake, exhaust and 100shot and he runs low to mid 12's though.
