Correction, FTroopChief. Los Alamos has plenty of security. The gateguards have AR15's and the emergency crews run MP5's. The same security details run the tri-lab force. Just because they don't gun you down doesn't mean that they can't.
Things changed after 9/11, and are even tighter now due to the Iran Nuke Scare.
