Default Re: After Warranty Visit- Operating/Usage Questions

[quote=donschorr]I just picked my Xfire up from Lake Norman Chrysler- professionally run operation. I will determine from multiple visits as to their expertise in Xfire repairs, but so far happy with my experience.

For those who have an interest here is the response/action from the dealer to my concerns. Response/action in RED
  • When it is cold- When I put the car in reverse I hear a metallic sound just a quick metallic sound- no noises while moving. Also when cold my first shift to 1st gear another metallic sound. Possible universal joints I hear? They discovered both of my rear axle nuts were loose, they tightened the nuts and state that the noise is gone.
  • When cold in the morning- I occasionally smell a faint scent of antifreeze when I first start it up, I think the scent comes thru the vents. They could not find any leaks and the coolant level is where it is supposed to be. I will keep a look out for this still.
  • Do you hear the gasoline in the tank when coming to a stop- I can hear it sloshing in my tank. They stated that the tank is behind the seats and I will hear some sloshing of the fuel.
  • A few times the wing deployed below 62 MPH the wing light flashes can't move it down it beeps when I try- but on restart it stays down until 62 MPH and works fine. They discovered a fault code in the BCM for a low voltage battery, they checked the battery which is fine. They reset the BCM and it is working as designed. I will keep a look out for this still, they told me if it trips again since they have now cleared the code, it will be easy to identify a problem if there is one.
  • My fan comes on occasionally, it only runs for a short period of time and turns off. My thermostat stays at the halfway mark or a little less all of the time after warm up. They stated the fan is operating as it should be.
  • They looked at the transmission issue (TSB) and no leaks were found.
  • I also had complained about my headlights being out of adjustment- They adjusted the front right no problem. After trying to adjust the left front- they have deemed the part not working for an adjustment. They have ordered a replacement left headlight assembly.
Since this post-

I have had:
  • The left side head light assembly replaced, as the lights could not be aimed. The old assembly was defective.
  • My alarm was not operating properly, the siren was replaced.
  • The problem with my wing deploying- after the codes were cleared out it deployed again on its own. They have ordered a new ABS controller to hopefully take care of the problem.
So far very satisfied with dealer and the warranty program for the XFire.

Thanks
Don
