Following up on my modification, I ordered a replacement part that I drilled so that if I ever decide to restore the dash to factory I can simply swap the panels.

The part was cheap and came in new packaging with an interesting parts ticket stuck to the back.

Elsewhere, I have found the "ZH" designation (PDF Owners Manual from Chrysler), but I found it interesting that the internal reference on the parts ticket was "Crossfire (Karmann)". How ironic...
