Default And Even Another DIY Intake Installation..

I stopped by Auto Zone and noticed they had the 3" Spectre polished aluminum intake pieces. I bought a silicone coupler for the maf, a 90 degree, 45 degree, a 6" straight piece and the extended arm piece and a K&N Dry Filter. It was very easy to install. And I figure that the opening where the old plastic piece was in the front has enough outside air coming in to be a cold air intake system. And we've noticed a huge seat-of-the-pants difference! It pulls so much harder now with quicker response. Not sure how some people can't seem to notice a difference. I am very pleased with this and it only cost me $150. I had the battery disconnected for the hour it took to disassemble and install, plus did the TB adjustment before testing her out. I even removed the rear cat's a few days ago and the combo is enough to keep me smiling for awhile. So whenever I get a few more bucks to spend, I'll be sure to get the upgraded HE and Johnson pump and then a tune. Are the stock plugs ok with this setup or should I get cooler ones? I'm thinking the cooler plugs would be needed if I go with an upgraded SC or crank pulley.
