Memories..........I only started paying any attention to petrol prices when I got my first car, a '63 Chev. Impala Super Sport, 283 w/ the Powerglide 2 speed tranny, souped, of course. Edelbrock manifold, cam, lifters, headers, Holley 4 barrel but, like an idiot, I kept the tranny. You could get the car to 65mph in first. No guts from the line but over 30, watch out!
Gas prices at the local Clark station were a whole whopping $.32 a gallon.
