The radio has power and it shows the name of the song and it looks like its working but I get no sound out of the speakers. Wow! That is a mystery. Sorry, but I don't have a clue either. Those two systems should be totally unrelated.
It wuoldn't hurt to check all of your fuses. The fuse box is under the hood, right in front of the driver, up against the firewall. Check each fuse for continuity with a multimeter, as a visual check can be misleading. There should also be a fuse built into the head unit, but that's a lot harder to get to.
Wait a sec... if the radio appears to be working (displays numbers and such, feeds and ejects discs) but you're just not getting any sound, it is probably not a problem with the head unit, it is probably with the amplifier! Check the connections to the amp - they might have come off. And check the fuse on the amp. The amp is beneath the carpet (and a panel) where your passenger's feet would be if they extended their legs all the way.
