It's interesting that Autoweek hasn't yet picked up on this story. Maybe they're waiting to confirm it before publishing or something. Their latest story on the Solstice was about a month ago. It indicated that GM appeared to still be intending to move ahead with the platform on which the Solstice is based, despite Opel deciding to pull out and not use it.
I wonder if GM is actually starting to get their styling act together. The Solstice is very attractive, as was the Cadillac Cien supercar concept which was introduced at the same show as the Solstice, but which has officially been marked as non-production, at least until economic circumstances change.
Now if only GM could fix that undefinable something I've never been able to put my finger on which has caused me to hate every GM car I've ever driven. Well, except for my old Saturn. Too bad the newer Saturns have it, whatever it is...
