Or, how about dropping the 3.5 DOHC V6 and 7-speed from the current SLK into the car. Did the floorpan change much? Would it work? What do you all think?

How about just the heads from the 3.5 DOHC V6? Then you would have DOHC and VVT on the SOHC block!
