I would suggest that since it was something that happened at the dealer BEFORE you bought it that the dealer is responsible... did you get a warranty?

Yup, I got an extended warranty (but through the finance company so it could be financed in with my payments, not a Chrysler one) so before I go hitting them with such a heavy claim I want to see if there is a way to minimize it. Since the selling dealer is 400 miles away, I want to try to get it done this route first.
